Unraveling the Working Class Mindset

Unblocking Childhood Trauma for Financial Success

As seasoned entrepreneurs and esteemed service providers in the dynamic digital industry, the folks in my network are navigating the realm of innovation, carving paths for success in a landscape defined by constant evolution. Yet, amidst this entrepreneurial fervor, there's a silent force that often lurks beneath the surface—a force deeply rooted in childhood experiences that stealthily shapes our relationship with success, money, and fulfillment. This force is what I term the "Working Class Mindset."

My own journey into understanding this phenomenon began against the backdrop of a household where financial struggle was the norm. Raised by parents whose modest means often dictated their choices, I imbibed a set of beliefs that shaped my early understanding of success. From my upbringing, I learned the virtues of a "safe" job, unwavering loyalty to an employer, and the necessity of going to work even when under the weather—traits seemingly commendable but steeped in a mindset born of scarcity and fear.

The lessons imparted were entrenched in the idea of a paycheck as the ultimate security, while any sign of company distress warranted staunch dedication, even at the cost of personal well-being. Loyalty, in my formative years, was synonymous with subservience to authority, and financial stability seemed contingent upon sacrificing personal fulfillment.

Indicators of the Working Class Mindset:

  1. Under-Earning as a Familiarity: Growing up amidst neglect or abuse often fosters an unconscious comfort with under-earning. This familiarity stems from deep-seated beliefs, shaping your financial aspirations and capabilities, sometimes leading to settling for less than your true worth.

  2. Loyalty as a Form of Receiving Love: The learned behavior of unwavering loyalty to authority figures often originates from childhood, where love or approval was contingent upon meeting expectations. For many, including myself, adhering to the expectations of authority figures became the primary means of receiving affection or recognition.

  3. Reluctance to Address Money Matters: Trauma experts seldom delve into the intricate relationship between childhood experiences and financial wellness. This reluctance to discuss money within the context of trauma perpetuates a lack of awareness about its significant impact on healing and success.

  4. External Blame vs. Self-Empowerment: There's a tendency to attribute under-earning to systemic faults while neglecting proactive engagement within the existing system. This lack of self-empowerment limits your potential to navigate and excel within the available opportunities.

  5. Resentment and Undercharging: A recurring theme involves resentment towards systems and a reluctance to charge appropriately. Under-earners might undervalue their services or avoid seeking better-paying opportunities, reinforcing a cycle of financial limitation.

  6. Fear of Advocacy and Boundary Setting: Childhood trauma often instills a fear of advocating for oneself. This fear manifests in difficulties in setting clear boundaries, especially in demanding fair compensation for your valuable services.

Understanding these indicators is crucial, as they offer a glimpse into the subconscious patterns that might unknowingly influence your relationship with money. Recognizing and addressing these patterns can lead to transformative shifts in your relationship with financial success and self-worth.

By embarking on a journey to unravel the Working Class Mindset, you open doors to reclaiming your true potential as a free human being. Through targeted interventions, such as trauma-informed coaching and subconscious reprogramming, you can transcend these limitations, paving the way for financial abundance, fulfilling relationships, and a profound sense of accomplishment.

As you navigate the intricacies of building a life based on what you truly want and providing invaluable services to humanity, remember that acknowledging the impact of childhood trauma on your mindset is not a sign of weakness but a courageous step towards reclaiming your power and rewriting your success story.

Let's shatter the barriers of the Working Class Mindset, paving the way for entrepreneurial triumphs that transcend the confines of past experiences and propel you towards unparalleled success in our lives. Whatever that means to you :)

Readwise: I love reading and enjoy using a variety of devices, such as my Kindle, physical books, phone, and computer. Previously, I used Evernote to store my notes from books, but it was time-consuming to maintain and not very effective for reviewing the material. Readwise is a helpful tool that connects to my Kindle and automatically saves all of my highlights.

Additionally, I can use a web clipper to save information from the internet. I receive regular emails with randomly selected highlights, which serve as helpful reminders of the key points from my reading. This helps me retain more knowledge and not quickly forget most of what I've read. Overall, Readwise has been a great resource for deepening my understanding of the material.

Dive Deeper with a Coaching

On my journey through the dark night of the soul I had many great teachers and mentors on my side. I spent thousands of Euros (and still do) on coachings and every cent was worth it. I don't think I would have been able to turn my life around so quickly without the help of these amazing people. The value you are receiving from working on removing emotional blocks, limiting beliefs and toxic thinking, can't be measured in money.

Most people only need 6 sessions in 3 months to generate dramatic outcomes in their lives. It's not like I teach them new things or have a bullet proof process. Quite the opposite is true. I believe that structure and process can help, but in most cases you're limiting life and all of its wonderful ways to create miracles for you. I am working on an intuitive level and combine all of my experience and knowledge from freeing myself.
